Brian Richardson

Brian RiBrian+Richardson-19073-Editchardson was born and raised in Ireland  He graduated with a B.A. from the State Unversity of New York, where he began in radio. In 1969 he became a professional actor in Montreal and, after a brief stint in Halifax in cross disciplinary performance, arrived in Winnipeg in 1970 and began to work as a freelance radio journalist. Documentaries, commentary, and humour have all beeen part of his career. A radio actor, he was also a member of the troupe, Confidential Exchange, who performed sketch comedy on CBC Radio and CBC TV. He has narrated productions of the National Film Board of Canada, Parks Canada, and many independent videos and films. He has created character voices for NFB films and for commercials.

He is the 2015 recipient of ACTRA Manitoba’s Victor Cowie Award for Outstanding Contribution to the Performing Arts.
