Arne MacPherson Teaches Foundations & Scene Study

Well respected Winnipeg actor and director, Arne MacPherson is the instructor for the Saturday afternoon Acting Foundations class for adults and the adult Saturday Scene Study class, both of which start on Saturday October 04.
New actors can learn the basics in the Foundations class. Explore improvisation, movement, voice work and character development in a safe classroom environment while you build the foundation of your actor training. No previous experience necessary.
More experienced acting students can expand their skills in the Scene Study class. (Formerly Acting Exploration) If you have already completed one or more acting classes and want to be challenged, this class is for you. Explore and expand your acting skills, with a focus on scene study. Students will work with a variety of dramatic texts.
Arne MacPherson is a Winnipeg-based theatre artist. Saskatchewan- born and Edmonton-bred, he received his Bachelor of Fine Arts (Acting) from the University of Alberta in 1985, and moved to Winnipeg in 1991.Arne has directed over thirty productions in Winnipeg, in both professional and student settings. Favourite shows include Sargent and Victor and Me (Theatre Projects Manitoba), Harvest, Magical Mystery Munsch (Prairie Theatre Exchange), The Walworth Farce(Incompletely Strangled), Sunday in the Park with George, (Gallery Works), Strike! The Musical (Workshop West Theatre, Edmonton), The Threepenny Opera (The Manitoba Theatre Centre and Shakespeare In the Ruins), Stretching Hide (Theatre Projects Manitoba), Head, A Midsummer Night’s Dream, The Tempest (Shakespeare In the Ruins), , Unity (1918) (PTE School).
He taught the PTE Young Company for nine years, working onUnity(1918), Seven Stories, DNA, and Blue Heart among others.
